Job Responsibilities


Lam’s dynamic GL&OD team accelerates the capabilities of the company by creating a world-class, high-impact learning organization and delivering enterprise-level solutions and results across business units and functions. As a GL&OD team member, you will always be thinking about new ways to help organizations and individuals develop, and will share a passion for accelerating the capabilities of the company through empowering people to be better.

As a member of a lean, growing, and dynamic GL&OD team, you may be responsible for creating, organizing, coordinating, and managing a variety of projects and programs. These programs will deliver learning and organizational development solutions that increase the performance, leadership, and engagement of people, as well as the organizational health across Lam. You will partner with GL&OD team members, HR business partners, managers, leaders, vendors, and other stakeholders across business groups and geographic regions. You will contribute to programs through an organized project management approach, based on best-in-class methodologies and proven technique. You will also program manage as needed, for annual GL&OD cycles and programs.

You will become familiar with Lam’s culture, business, highly matrixed global environment, and ecosystem and work to develop general knowledge of the different business groups and individual clients we serve. You will consider this understanding in all you do for the projects and programs you manage, and holistically for the company’s learning and organizational development needs.

This is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate who wants to break ground at Lam, make an impact, and lead the way with new OD practices.  Note that this will be a hybrid role.  You will spend approximately 50% of your time collaborating to functionally implement talent management modules within SuccessFactors along with other special projects as assigned, and you will spend approximately 50% of your time building an OD Consulting Practice at Lam. 





Other Job Responsibilities
  • Work in collaboration with colleagues, partners and leaders to execute on the Global Learning & Organizational Development (GL&OD) vision and priorities
  • Thought partner with cross-functional organizations, brainstorm and synergize to develop innovative solutions that support the creation of positive change at Lam and help to maximize talent and engagement, with a particular focus on Inclusion & Diversity
  • Partner with key stakeholders such as HRBP’s and business leaders to pilot, test, and implement GL&OD programs as needed
  • Partner with key stakeholders on communication and change management as needed, to help drive success
  • Facilitate leadership team meetings and development offerings
  • Manage, organize and coordinate OD projects
  • Collaborate to plan, coordinate and support learning and OD events, as needed
  • Approximately 50% of time will be spent on talent management programs and projects and 50% of time will be building the OD Consulting Practice at Lam)
  • Manage and execute the design, pilot, and launch of the Talent Management (TM) modules within SAP SuccessFactors (including the mentoring, career development, and succession modules)
  • Manage global talent management programs and processes at Lam including succession planning, organization assessments, talent assessments & reviews, career pathing, coaching, and mentoring programs.
  • Interact with key vendor representatives to build a roadmap for launch
  • Work with stakeholders such as HRBP’s and business leaders to best embed cyclical talent management processes into business cycles
  • Partner with the HRIS team to train and prepare HRBP’s to use the talent management system.
  • Consult with HRBPs and business leaders on how to leverage the talent management modules to meet their unique business needs and challenges
  • Consult with HRBP’s and business leaders on how to address talent needs identified through their talent planning processes  
  • Help to build an “OD Consulting Practice” at Lam. 


Minimum Qualification


  • Experience – 5+ years in an internal OD Consultant or Practitioner role. 
  • Experience – 3+ years leading Talent Management processes, preferably using SAP/SuccessFactors
  • Education – a BA/BS degree or higher; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand business, organizational, and cultural drivers.
  • Experience in a global training & development organization.
  • Success building credible relationships with leaders in an organization.
  • Experience – with assessments such as MBTI, StrengthsFinder, EQ, and/or DISC.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience as an internal OD consultant or practitioner.
  • Experienced in a high tech, matrixed, fast paced and high accountability environments.
  • Exhibit a high degree of integrity, credibility, curiosity, and results orientation.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship building and executive presence.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and an ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Think and act holistically to help create differentiated value for business leaders and internal customers.
  • Demonstrate strong people, communication, collaboration, loand organizational skills.
  • Ability to build strong business relationships across the company to enhance partnership and speed.
  • General understanding of other GL&OD focus areas such as employee engagement, inclusion & diversity and leadership development.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Experience with a talent management system including leveraging technology to manage programs such as talent assessments & reviews, succession planning, talent designations, career pathing, etc. preferred.
