The Impact You’ll Make

Join Lam as an Electrical Engineer and you'll be at the forefront, designing and developing electronic solutions for advanced applications. Your role involves designing and analyzing equipment, conducting experimental tests, and evaluating results to create reliable, cutting-edge solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop highly complex electrical systems, sub-systems, and/or solutions, applying engineering methods to design.
  • Contribute to research and development efforts for future products by collecting and analyzing data to improve electrical system designs.
  • Develop functional specifications for highly complex electrical/electro-mechanical systems and power distribution components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering design teams to design and modify custom and OEM system components.
  • Perform hands-on testing and validation utilizing lab equipment to characterize the performance of electrical/electro-mechanical systems.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, analysis, and results to diverse audiences in design reviews.
  • Act as a resource and mentor for junior colleagues.

Who We’re Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 12+ years of experience; or a Master's degree with 8+ years of experience; or a PhD with 5+ years of experience; or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Semiconductor Capital Equipment Power Distribution Design Experience
  • Industrial Electronics, Control Systems, and I/O
  • High Voltage Power Supply Design
  • Working with Vendors to Implement Designs in a Timely and Cost-Effective Manner

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

 

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $119,000.00 -  $259,000.00.

 

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
