Job Responsibilities
Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment, or other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. May also review vendor capability to support product development.

This Electrical Engineering position reports to Deposition Product Group.
Responsible to develop equipment used to deposit thin metal films.
Equipment designed and developed by this group is used in the manufacturing process of every integrated circuit made today.
Electrical Engineers design equipment with the following subsystems: Heater control, Pressure control, 3 phase power delivery, DC power delivery,
Cable harness development, Analog control, Digital control, EtherCAT, RS232, embedded controls, RF power delivery, filter development, integration of motion control, safety certification and creation of Software functional specifications
Minimum Qualifications
Design and Developed equipment from its vision to customer acceptance
Create hardware and systems for R&D activities
Analyze designs through circuit analysis and bench testing 50% system integration, 20% Power and distribution, 20% controls, 10% sustaining engineering
Perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEAs) Organize, participate and lead design reviews
Conduct feasibility studies – including generation of well documented test plans
Works with software team to ensure requirements are met
Works with suppliers to prepare detailed design, prototype fabrication, design testing / verification In addition to regular responsibilities, an Electrical Engineer 5 establishes methods and procedures on new or special assignments
Preferred Qualifications
Semiconductor capital equipment power distribution design experience
Industrial electronics, control systems, and I/O
AC power distribuition design
Working with vendors to implement your designs in a timely and cost-effective fashion
