Identify customer needs and Lam business objectives to define Upgrade Product Roadmaps, Product Visions and Upgrade Business Strategy.


Drive business plan and vision into programs and support program manager in achieving business objectives. Define implementation strategy for upgrades. Communicate via Plan of Record (POR) to the development, operations, and customer accounts. Champion utilization of the PDR process, drive the program team to address PDR requirements, product design/development trade-offs and associated risk decisions. Identify appropriate beta sites for programs and drive commercial closure of programs to align with the CSBG business objectives.


Define the product offered for sale, captured within the Product Option Architecture (POA) and associated change management process, communicate with internal organizations the product offering for sale and associated list pricing

Manage unreleased upgrades; capture and communicate early forecast and fielding plans in the Unreleased Build Plan process with Pilot Ops, Business Development and Spares, manage/coordinate financial and operations approvals to meet field testing, early customer demands, monitor and approve shipment of experimental/pre-released material to customers for enhancement/fixes, monitor and approve financial exposure of unreleased material in worldwide spares inventory

Manage Product Priority List (PPL) of programs/projects to focus resources in line with organizational objectives. Define & manage financial reserve fund (ECOGs) requirements to support implementation of enhancements/improvements to issues in the field, define and manage reserves maintained to achieve specific business objectives in the field.  


Review and disposition the business case for requests for product enhancements, changes, change notices and customer requests for functionality not currently available (ECR/ECN & NSRs). Provide supporting rationale and alternatives to justify decisions and determine pricing.


Lead CFTs during product issue resolution periods, coordinating Operations, Development and Customer production impacts when scarce resources are available. Lead safety issue CFTs in development of Safety Alert and fielding plans. Analysis and recommendation of financial reserves and disposition of unreleased material inventory in engineering, operations and spares locations
