Foreign Trade Analyst

 

The Foreign Trade Analyst will be responsible for daily tactical activities related to the company’s Export Compliance Program & Roadmap, ensuring that compliance requirements and business objectives with U.S. and foreign laws and regulations are achieved.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of individuals and work well as a team member.
  • Must be open to challenges, new ideas, and change. Must be able to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
  • Ensuring compliance with export laws and regulations, including transfer of technical data
  • Process daily export and import operational transactions including SAP/GTS order releases
  • Determine classification (Export/Import) as needed
  • Support global licensing program including US EAR, and local country licensing requirements
  • Support compliance screening activities for customers, vendors, employees, and visitors
  • Audit transactions
  • Willingness to do all necessary tasks to get the job done.

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent proven work experience
  • 5-8 years of demonstrated experience in export and/or import roles
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR), US Customs Regulations, and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
  • Experience with commodity, software, technology and deemed export license programs
  • Experience working with issues of a global nature and interacting with company employees in other countries
  • Ability to write and speak effectively
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office

     

    Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced Excel experience
  • Experience with SAP and GTS module a plus
  • Experience with EU & APAC export control regulations a plus
  • Knowledge of China export and import operations including China Customs, CIQ & MOFCOM regulations and requirements a plus
