Global Product Support Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Provides technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems. Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. May be involved in customer installation and training. Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.

Other Job Responsibilities

  • Support and take the ownership of field escalation related to the productivity on deep trench Silcon etch application tool sets
  • Provide technical guidance to Regional Product Support engineers and  train Field Service Engineers on-site on first in fab product line
  • Review and release documentation of upgrade, productivity improvement, and product specification
  • Analyze field data, drive the solution path with corrective actions, part's quality failure analysis
  • Coordinate project, process development, improved productivity, and resolve chamber match issues
  • Requires on-site support for critical project, escalation, attend customer forum and first in fab installation
  • Requires minimum 25% travel to domestic and international locations
  • Presentation in escalation meetings and other Cross Functional Team (CFT) meetings
  • Drive escalation meetings with account team and customers
  • Provide new design improvement on products

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a Ph.D with 5 years' experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Working experience on customer management, good communication skill, good presentation skill
  • Minimum 8 years of semiconductor experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Lam Etch products on 2300 system or general Dry Etch
  • Working experience on customer management, good communication skill, good presentation skill
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing process
  • Strong documentation and data analytic, basic knowledge of software

 Salary and Benefits

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $117,000.00 -  $259,000.00

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
