Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Lab service engineer, also known as an equipment engineer, to join our team developing an exciting new technology! You will primarily work on our semiconductor equipment in the cleanroom applications lab. You will be a key contributor in enabling customer acceptance of the  technology by installing, upgrading, and maintaining the lab tools to ensure support of customer demonstrations and enable business penetration. The ideal candidate will exercise their extensive electro-mechanical experience and skills, will enjoy learning and supporting varied process hardware, and enjoy managing and executing different tasks assigned to support the adoption and success of the technology by our customers.

Other Job Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for preventative/corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, installing upgrades and retrofits, and performing calibration on equipment in the lab
  • Maintain and support the transport modules and multiple process modules for our process
  • Understand and utilize LOTO, PPE (including use of PAPR and respirators), pre-task planning, and other safety equipment and practices to safely perform all tasks
  • Become a system expert to support the Productivity, Process, Engineering, and Software groups’ activities and customer demos/commits in the lab
  • Create solutions that have positive impact to the team or the products
  • Install and support prototype equipment and assist in developing procedures and documentation
  • Limited travel may be required
  • Mentor and train other LSEs, Field Service Engineers, RPS Engineers, and tool users

Minimum Qualifications

  • Have a safety-first mindset and strictly follow procedures and processes without taking shortcuts under normal circumstances and under pressure
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed, R&D environment with potentially hazardous energies and chemistries
  • Be able to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities, with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively
  • Have experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, electronic equipment and vacuum equipment; with direct semiconductor equipment experience preferable
  • Educational & Experience level: Master’s degree in Engineering Field with 6+ years of relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or Associates Degree with 15+ years relevant experience; or equivalent military experience
  • Other essential qualifications: Microsoft Suite experience, ability to pass APR/respirator requirements, and capable of executing the movement activities associated with day-to-day tasks
