The Group You’ll Be A Part Of

Customer Support Business Group (“CSBG”) Finance, reporting to Senior Director - Controller of Reliant & Upgrades.

 

The Impact You’ll Make

At Lam, as a Finance Manager, you will be a trusted advisor to the business and influence sound business decisions based on your expertise in interpreting data, performing analysis, modeling, and understanding financial outlook. You’re in a high visibility role working with CSBG Executive Management and other internal business partners at all levels and across functions on challenging and rewarding projects that help shape Lam’s financial strategies and decisions for the future.  In this role, you will directly contribute to the Upgrades and Reliant Systems P&L.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking in support of financial cycles: Quarterly Reviews, Annual Operating Planning (AOP), and Balance Sheet Review (BSR).
  • Lead Analysis and Reporting of Revenue and Margin Performance versus Approved Deals.
  • Influence Executive Management on financially strategic ways to improve profitability for customer deals.  
  • Manage quarter-end close processes including variance analysis and actuals vs. forecast reporting of gross margin, inventory, headcount, Opex, Capex.
  • Prepare and publish reports creating visibility to gross margin, spending trends and headcount to make spending prioritization recommendations.
  • Partner with Business Development to identify and support initiatives and projects to improve gross margin.
  • Identify and lead business process improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Build trusted business relationships, gain deep understanding of the business, and act as an advisor providing actionable insights from growth opportunities to cost savings.
  • Constant improvement of Financial Reporting and Financial Modeling.
  • Complete Internal Audit and SOX requests, as needed.  
  • Mentor junior analyst in support of the product line P&L.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related area with 8+ years of experience or Master’s degree or equivalent certification (MBA, CPA, CFA, CA, CMA or equivalent) with 6+ years experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, dashboards, and data visualization.
  • Ability to understand the technology or manufacturing environment and the associated financial processes, experience preferred.
  • Extremely detail oriented, well organized, high standard of accuracy and demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Consistently demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills to implement upcoming business and system changes.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload; effective multi-tasking skills are vital.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional, and international teams including occasional flexible schedules to accommodate time zones.
  • Strong leader, with initiative and effective decision-making skills.
  • Action-oriented, solution-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills, Analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills.
  • SAP and Business Objects experience is highly desirable or demonstrable strong system skills.
  • Very strong, accurate accounting skills with attention to details and the ability to meet a very compact month and quarter close schedule.
  • Ability to multi-task, flexibility to reprioritize tasks in a constantly changing environment and completion of responsibilities by deadlines.

Salary

 

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $111,000.00 -  $244,000.00.

 

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
