Job Responsibilities
- Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
- Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
- Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
- Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Other Job Responsibilities
- Leads a team of engineering assembly and test technicians to build and test the initial set of new semiconductor product designs in a pilot line setting and release them to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM).
- Leads team to implement methods, operation sequences and processes to reliably produce complex semiconductor capital equipment systems and their sub-assemblies in a repeatable manner.
- Supports Etch, Mechatronics, Platform and/or Deposition High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) transitions to deliver quality transitions in the lowest number of iterations to sites in California, Oregon, Taiwan, and South Korea.
- Selects, develops, and leads personnel to ensure an effective and efficient operation including 5S and technical training programs.
- Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
- Leads team to identify, troubleshoot, document, and resolve complex hardware, software, and electrical problems with manufacturing, test, and development engineering.
- Works with cross-functional teams in support of key business initiatives as part of the Lam Product Development and Release (PDR) process.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of related management experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
- BS degree in a technical field including (but not limited to) the following: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Material Science;
- Effective problem solving, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage complex processes and projects; emphasis on identifying and mitigating schedule risk
- Strong program/project management skills and/or operations management experience
- Engineering design experience, industrial / manufacturing processes, human factor, organizational behavior, knowledge of lean manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma (Black Belt) is preferred
- Previous experience in the semiconductor equipment industry preferred.
