Job Responsibilities
Technical
- Develops new or modified process formulations, define processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications
- Reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products. Involvement may begin at any step from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing.
- Coordinates design requirement review with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods.
- Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications.
- May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes.
- May support customer technology managers in the planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting of customer demos to defend existing process applications.
- Works with suppliers to make sure required parts and supplies are available.
Minimum Qualifications
- M.S in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics; or
- B.S with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with working in a chemical laboratory.
- Experience in surface preparation and analytical techniques.
- Interest in advanced technology and an on-going desire to learn.
- In-dept understanding and working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
Salary and Benefits
CA San Francisco Bay Area - Salary Range for this position: Min $65,000 to Max. $144,000.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
