Job Responsibilities

 

  • Ability to train first time users on safe and competent operation of wide variety of metrology cleanroom tools (KLA, Bruker, Hitachi, etc)
  • Basic operation and “first line of defense” troubleshooting of metrology tool in cleanroom.
  • Oversee, own and coordinate stocking of critical spare parts for cleanroom metrology tools.
  • Interface with facilities and contractors to plan tool installs and moving activities and make sure timelines are met.
  •  Knowledge of full range of metrology analysis techniques.
  • Interface with vendor FSE and escalate to vendor management as necessary to provide support and troubleshooting ensuring timely solutions and minimal downtime to metrology tools.
  • SPC and Uptime Tracking of critical metrology assets including monthly reporting to upper management.
  • Good knowledge of Windows , Windows 7 and Windows 10 networking basics and ability to interact with Lam IT support staff.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in team environment and capability to deal with fast paced, customer service oriented requests is a must.
  • Position will involve taking a lead role in managing equipment assets in cleanroom.
  • Some travel to Tualtin or Korea may be required few times a year.
  • Ability to budget and forecast spending on quarterly basis for parts, supplies and services needed to keep lab running.
  • Interest in SEM tools and techniques in order to serve as area backup.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to get information and results needed

Customer Relations

  • Professionally represent the company to the customer. Utilize knowledge of company’s product lines and services to keep existing/ potential customers informed when new/ additional needs are identified.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics with 3 years of relevant work; or
  • M.S. with 6+ years of relevant work experience; or
  • B.S. with 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Future interest in people management role is a plus.
  • Ownership of wetlab space and training requirements  and associated wet chemistry background is a plus.
