Work on process, technology, and product development activities with multi-functional teams. Develops new or modified process formulations, product improvements, defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products. Involvement may begin at any step from concept and feasibility to full-scale manufacturing. Coordinates design requirement review with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes and/or product.

Experience in designing and executing experiments using plasma etcher and/or photo resist asher. Proficient in design of experiments (DOE).  Semiconductor material, chemical, and metallurgical processes characterization and development; Experience in interacting with hardware, software, and process teams, troubleshooting equipment and process issues, and improving process and/or product performance; Knowledge of plasma dry strip technologies and integration with advanced device processing flows; Knowledge in operation of advanced equipment involving vacuum and plasma source technologies. 



Typically requires a degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related, plus a minimum of 9 years of related experience with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years of experience; or equivalent experience in the semiconductor equipment fields.
