Essential Functions and Duties

Setup, analyze, operate and optimize complex semiconductor capital etch equipment by characterizing both hardware and process engineering performance. Internship work to assist in planning, implementation and characterization through plasma diagnostics of plasma etch hardware and processes in Lam’s inductively coupled plasma (ICP) chambers.

 

Qualifications

Require a candidate who is currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical/ Chemical Engineering / Physics / Chemistry / Materials Science with background/expertise in plasma processing & diagnosticsUndergraduates need not apply.

 

  1. Expertise in vacuum systems, plasma diagnostics, etch/deposition process engineering and their working details.
  2. Experience in Langmuir probe, Microwave Hairpin resonator probes, RFEA, optical emission spectroscopy, and other plasma characterization diagnostics required.
  3. Background in plasma material processing and plasma physics.
  4. Proficiency in data acquisition setup, numerical methods and analysis, and basic programming skills required.
  5. Experience in Matlab and/or LabView preferred.
  6. Expertise in MS-Powerpoint, MS-Word, MS-Excel, Origin and other relevant data processing software.
  7. Strong analytical, problem solving, influence, teamwork, business partnering, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  8. Ability to be self-driven, work and deliver results in dynamic
    cross-functional, team oriented and time-critical environment.
  9. Require regular meetings, weekly updates and internal presentations. Meet deadlines and project deliverable requirements on time.
