Job Description

Provides technical support to customers, field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging electro/mechanical equipment or complex software.  Provide quality remote and on-site escalation support and escalation management.  Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering.  Performs testing and analyzes data for new and existing hardware.  Creates and updates documentation for field service engineers and customers.  May be involved in customer installation and training. Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.



  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and coordinates multiple technical tasks.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills and demonstrated expertise in a formal problem solving methodology
  • Strong Presentation Skills - demonstrates presentation skills, influence and effectiveness on complex content, in front of peers.  Agility to respond to questions and respond well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
  • Ability to read and work from electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams and interpret operation manuals.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads.
  • Ability to work in constrictive clean room attire, wearing appropriate personal protective safety equipment as required, and sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Knowledge of fluids and gas delivery desired.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor industry safety standards would be beneficial.
  • ~25% Travel worldwide is a requirement of this position.



  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical)
  • 3+ years of experience
