The Impact You’ll Make
In this position, you, as a Supplier Engineer play a vital role with the Mechatronics / Robotic suppliers. You will have the opportunity to work across organizational functions to resolve technical, quality and production challenges, as well as opportunity to develop excellence in product design and manufacturing at the Mechatronics / Robotics supply chain.
The ideal candidate will be result-driven, self-starter possessing strong interpersonal skills with a focus on supporting internal and external customers. This individual should also possess the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
What You’ll Do
- Work with Lam Product Group Engineering organizations in development and release of new integrated assemblies & products to suppliers – Robotics, Mechatronics and Motion Controls.
- Coordinate and support investigation of key quality defects of components from the customers and/or field service team to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Drive the improvement of the suppliers’ quality and manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time-delivery.
- Act as liaison / technical lead for cross functional projects to include Build Verify and Production Readiness Review.
- Audit and document supply base performance on critical process of records and overall quality management systems.
- Collaborate on the continuous development of supply base through close teamwork with product management, global product group, and supplier business managers.
- Leads, and is personally accountable for, project timelines and milestones.
- Continuously working on process improvement and developing Best Known Methods.
- Provide technical support in Build, Test and FQA to suppliers in deposition and etch product deployment and transition.
- Perform Standardized Supplier Quality Audits and administer Supplier Quality Scorecard for existing suppliers to promote continuous improvement.
- Drive Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis on defects and Escalations.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Basic understand of Robotics/Mechanical/fluid delivery system design.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills; methodologies such as: 8-D and/or 5Whys.
- Project Management
- Experience working with suppliers
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary
CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: Min $84,000 - Max $185,000.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
