Product Management is a leadership position, acting as the Conductor to unify the team around a Vision, set priorities and pace, and hold individuals accountable for their contribution. The Product Manager owns the product for the entire lifecycle of the product, from conception to end of life, and is responsible for the success of her product.

The ideal candidate will have the confidence and background to lead a diverse team of highly competent and technical individuals, sound decision making ability, an inquisitive nature, ability to bring order to chaos, and can work effectively across multiple organizational boundaries and levels of management.


Accountable for release of a whole product that meets performance requirements, achieves cost targets aligned with profitability goals, is available through manufacturing and supported by operations and in the field.

Facilitates roundtable reviews of market, technology, and competitive trends leading to revision of product strategy and roadmap and organizational priorities.

Vision statement author, accountable for documenting business objectives and product requirements that form the basis for development programs. Maintains the document under revision control throughout development & release process and holds the team accountable to vision objectives.

Defines the product for sale and option architecture to support customer needs.

Manages unreleased products: aligns early forecast and proliferation plans with stakeholders, manages financial approvals to support new product testing and early customer engagements. Approver for all shipments of new hardware or configurations.

Defines the implementation strategy for product enhancements and fixes. Communicates the Plan of Record (POR) to the development, operations, and customer accounts.

Sets engineering and program priorities aligned with organizational objectives.


Minimum Education: BS or MS in an engineering discipline, MBA a plus. Minimum Experience: 10 + Years applicable experience. Previous experience in the semiconductor capital equipment industry preferred.
