Job Responsibilities
Lam’s Sr. Production Test Technicians prepare technical reports and summarize findings related to technical problems experienced while testing and troubleshooting circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. Assists with identifying deficiencies in processes and procedures, and escalates production issues to Lead Technicians, Supervisors and Engineering, ensuring productivity goals are met. May serve as primary trainers for other Technicians on specific job functions.
Job Duties:
- Test and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems
- Perform Lead Technician duties with minimal-to-no assistance
- Participate in complex projects requiring judgment and initiative; complete tasks in creative and effective ways; comprehend implications of work and make recommendations for solutions
- Complete multiple Opportunity for Improvement Projects
- Refer to instructions, diagrams, schematics, and templates to inspect/position/assemble parts for acceptance; communicate issues with Leads and Supervisors
- Verify operations to be completed using Cell Fusion traceability; sign off on completed operation
- Perform and review audits for open issues; escalate to Assembly to close out incomplete tasks
- Train other Test Technicians; explain safety procedures and demonstrate daily duties
- Provide technical assistance to other Test Technicians by troubleshooting new/persistent issues, performing rework, accessing computer systems, reviewing schematics, and utilizing fixtures; document issues as they evolve and escalate using proper path for solution
- Perform Supervisory tasks when requested; manage responsibilities including troubleshooting with Engineers; follow and fix complex issues on products; delegate tasks and prioritize work
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree in electronics or related field (or equivalent certification); will consider two+ years military electronics experience (ex., avionics technician) in lieu of degree/certificate
- Eight+ years’ experience as a Technician in the semiconductor industry or other equivalent large capital equipment manufacturer (ex., automotive, aerospace, or medical device industries)
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Able to work 12-hour shifts on a team in a clean room environment wearing PPE (bunny suit, safety glasses, masks, shields, gloves, safety footwear)
- Effectively read, write, and communicate with others in English
- Physical requirements include ability to squat, kneel, walk, climb, stand and operate over 50% of time; lift 35 pounds; perform repetitive motions using hands and various hand tools; ability to distinguish between colors for wire identification.
