Job Responsibilities

This Project Program Manager position is an individual contributor role working on a team to implement a Manufacturing Execution System (known as both MES and GLES) into our global labs.  This position will guide through implementation phases until fully in-place, and transition to MES/GLES support, as well as additional project and program support within the Global Labs team. 

Serves as an ambassador from Manufacturing Execution System (MES/GLES) team to internal business partners including lab operations, process &technology organizations, and computational teams. Provides guidance to MES/GLES modeling team on best approach to manage process engineering activities as part of lab automation activities.  Supports retirement of legacy lab related business systems, partnering with system owners to align on roadmaps and product freezes as part of transition to MES/GLES system.  Key member of MES/GLES CFT (Cross Functional Team) as an expert advisor from system implementation viewpoint, serves as a champion for lab operations group inputs, and is an interface to lab user stakeholders. 

Other Job Responsibilities

Engage subject matter experts (SME) from different business organizations and all lab users to align on system requirements and ensure configuration documentation is accurate and complete. Document implementation plans with clearly defined system governance with global lab roll-out strategy. Review, monitor, and drive MES/GLES implementation activities as needed to ensure the change has been completed properly through reporting of accurate system data process evaluation and validation. Supports the preparation and delivery of training to internal business partners on usage and interfacing with MES/GLES. Enable utilization of MES/GLES for internal manufacturing-like processes. Monitor pilot implementation groups and respond to requests for support resolving issues as and establish procedures and methods to avoid recurrences. Partner with other global MES/GLES PPM for successful implementation and regularly interface with MES/GLES development team. Required on-site presence to understand and support system needs for internal business partners On-site support for remote locations in US, Europe, and Asia as-needed 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • 2+ years of project/program management experience related to system implementation 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Excel 
  • Excellent people skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal and external partners  
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ability to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs and deadlines 
  • Demonstrated ability to understand abstract concepts, adapt to wafer processing laboratory environments, and transform into automated solutions 
  • Working knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action/8D processes and ability to lead a CFT through an RCCA plan 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Working knowledge of financial planning tools, charting, and metrics 
  • Experience and utilization of FMEA processes or methods 
  • Wafer processing experience in manufacturing or research & development 
  •   Education & Experience 
  • Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics with 2+ years of relevant work; or 

  • M.S. with 3+ years of relevant work experience; or 

  • B.S. with 5+ years of work experience. 

  • 5+ years working in a project management role with a diverse cross-functional team

 Salary and Benefits

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $69,000.00 -  $159,000.00

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
