Job Description:

Responsible for supplier development and monitoring in the surface treatment commodity including anodizing, coatings, and precision cleaning. 

- Conduct supplier process audits (Process of Record).

- Document standardized practices for monitoring cleaning processes.  Support transfer of cleaning supplier data monitoring from Fremont SMT team to global support team.

- Conduct tests and analyze anodize performance parameters.

Essential Responsibilities:

Under supervision:

  • Ensure suppliers’ manufacturing processes are in place to produce reliable products in a repeatable manner.  Develop and audit quality control systems. Develop and drive supplier improvement plans.
  • Manage coating suppliers’, analytical testing and engineering resources to perform failure analysis on products returned from the field.
  • Design and execute an experiment, review data, develop conclusions
  • Implementing industry standard process control techniques such as six sigma techniques to manage and develop production efficiencies and quality for Lam products

 

Education & Experience:

Minimum Education: Must be in good academic standing at a college or university, enrolled for the following semester or quarter pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D in engineering or science. 

BS Chemical Engineering, Material Science desirable.

Minimum Experience: Previous semiconductor capital equipment industry experience preferred.

Strong problem solving, project management, and communication skills
