Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will drive Service business development and sales in an environment where technology and industry trends are changing rapidly, by understanding the direction of the market and customers, demonstrating a deep understanding of Lam Research Services, and orchestrating and delivering the best solutions to the customers. Provides strategic direction and owns execution for multiple customers and regions.

This role will be directly influencing significant revenue projects key to Customer Support Business Group (CSBG), Lam businesses and will require regular visits and discussions with customer and local account team management in support of CSBG business.

Other Job Responsibilities

Role and Responsibility – Service Business Development


  • Primary interface to field/customer for Service Products and single product deal
  • Define Service penetration & defense targets and manage funded projects
  • Communicate Service Strategies to the regions, work with the regional Product Specialists/Account teams to identify the value opportunities and get customized or is tailored to fit specific customer needs
  • Establish Single Page Strategies for Service penetration & defense targets
  • Determine commercial strategy and review deal-sheet to ensure profitability objective
  • Review Quarterly Committed Revenue (and forecast) financials and understanding of business drivers & impacts
  • Drive adoption of Advanced Services and regional self-sufficiency
  • Provide voice of customer/field back to Product Marketing and Product Management
  • Interface with CSBG Central BD on inclusion of Service products into multi product line deals


Regular Duties – Service Business Development


  • Partner with regions to improve global contract profitability
  • Partner with regions on penetration and defense projects executions
  • Ensure ongoing renewal of existing Service Contracts
  • Forecasting Service Product Line revenue and margin on a quarterly basis
  • Financial and legal structuring of customer contract documents
  • Partner with regions to develop and structure Productivity-Result Base (RBC) Service Contracts
  • Review & align Service Business deals prior to approval submission
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum Education:  BS in Engineering – Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials or Physics, Computer Science or business-related field.  MBA degree preferable, but level of work experience also alternated.
  • Minimum Experience:  Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience in semiconductor business and sales management.
  • Work history demonstrating good leadership, management, conflict resolution, project management, organizational and communication skills working in and leading teams.  Previous roles demonstrating Business Development and customer facing assignments showing good understanding of both factory & customer needs / issues.
  • Travel – 25~35% travel to support customer engagements as needed
