The Group You’ll Be A Part Of

Reporting to the CEO, Lam Research’s Corporate Strategy team is focused on providing broad, strategic vision for the company, identifying, and evaluating new growth initiatives, and supporting business units in the strategy planning process.  Beyond strategy, the group also executes M&A, integration, and other strategic investment/partnership programs.

 

The Impact You’ll Make

As a member of the on the Lam Corporate Strategy team you will be responsible for driving and orchestrating projects focused on leading Lam to make the best strategic choices in support of our corporate objectives.

Typical Projects Include

  • Analysis of ecosystem and competitive trends to identify growth opportunities and disruptive threats
  • Critical, insightful analyses of Lam and our ecosystem that deliver actionable strategic options
  • Development of detailed growth strategies in sufficient detail to undergo stress testing and injection into the corporate planning process

What You’ll Do

In This Role, You Will

  • Understand and stay current with the competitive landscape
  • Synthesize data looking for trends and insights, identify and close gaps in the collective knowledge base
  • Take ownership for significant portions of strategy development and generate creative, action-oriented insights and recommendations
  • Facilitate joint problem-solving with mid-level and senior-level business partners
  • Distill information, gain clarity of ideas, synthesize, and then define next steps for execution
  • Produce novel research work products, often challenging existing strategies in the company with new insights
  • Deliver timely and impactful recommendations, ensuring we are having the right strategic debates in the company
  • Author and deliver high-impact presentations and plans to senior management

Who We’re Looking For

Qualifications

  • MBA degree and 8+ years of semiconductor industry experience, including 2+ years in strategy consulting or corporate strategy
  • Excellence in structured thinking with superior analytical capabilities (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Ability to identify and define business questions and issues and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to help drive strategic debate
  • Exceptionally strong personal initiative, business instincts, and comfort with high levels of ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Lam, our ecosystem and the trends that are/will shape our future
  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in continued learning
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous high-priority projects (often including project management of cross-functional teams)

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

 

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $132,000.00 -  $276,000.00.

 

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
