Senior Finance Manager, AEPC

Lam Research Corporation is a leading global technology company in the Fortune 500 headquarter in Fremont, CA.  Reporting to the Controller – Office of Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), the Senior Finance Manager will lead a small team of financial analyst and consultants and together provide financial leadership to the Advanced Equipment & Process Control (“AEPC”) Business Unit.  AEPC is a new business unit with a diverse product portfolio and significant growth opportunities.   

Our team is responsible for all aspects of financial supports for the business unit including accounting, forecasting & planning, modeling, reporting, advising, internal business control and asset management.  With direct access to VP level executives, this individual will be involved performing ROIs to justify investments and provide analytical support for fast management decisions.

Job duties of the Analyst include but not limited to:

  • Coordinate all aspects of financial forecasting, close and reporting
  • Guide BU management in preparation and execution to committed financial plan
  • Perform economic tradeoff and ROI analysis to guide making investment decision e.g. prioritization of programs
  • Review and formulate financial policies and procedures to ensure proper control

The Sr. Manager should be comfortable working in a quick-paced environment, capable of setting up processes and structures, a good problem solver, and comfortable engaging in business partnership with senior executive management.


  • Minimum 10+years of prior experience of working with semiconductor/manufacturing industry
  • Prior experience in public accounting or MBA preferred
  • Very strong Excel modeling skills required.  
  • Must be analytical, detailed, accurate, dedicated, results-oriented, and highly ethical.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a complex and demanding environment.
  • Must be proactive and have solid business judgment.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong SAP experience required.
