Lam Research, Senior Marketing Manager, Genomics

Role: Lam Research is located in Fremont, CA. We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager, Genomics to work directly with the Principal of Life Sciences

Representative responsibilities:

  • Validate market opportunities in major end customer markets
    • Continuous monitoring of genomics market and ongoing intelligence gathering
    • Initiate and/or lead qualitative and quantitative studies including customer focus groups, advisory boards etc. – including managing outside research services
    • Outline uses cases for major technology platform and work with customers to determine/ideate new applications
  • Facilitate discussions between subject matter experts (SMEs) and end customers
  • Collaborate with SMEs to prepare consistent read-outs and updates for Board and CEO Staff
  • Drive business development opportunities
  • Role is specifically focused on Genomics

Desired qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, in Life Sciences, in marketing or a related discipline. Graduate degree in Life Sciences preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, product management or upstream marketing at a life sciences tools company. Genomics focus required
  • Experience in initiating and leading products through a new product development process
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and realize new opportunities
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Formal presentation skills a definite plus
  • Must be able to accomplish results in a cross-functional team environment, exhibiting formal and informal leadership skills and a strong goal/results orientation
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and attention to detail
