Job Description

We are looking for a Software Architect, with a focus on data analytics, who will participate in multi-disciplinary cross functional teams to plan, design, develop, test and release software solutions for Advanced Equipment and Process Control (AEPC) products for the semiconductor industry.


Responsibilities include product design and engineering for data ingestion and analysis, applying machine learning algorithms on the data stream and predictions at different levels of the stack. 

The ideal candidate is highly organized, action-oriented, hands on and accomplished in the development and deployment of products and systems. You have a pragmatic, results-oriented approach to application architecture and are flexible to work on all areas of the software stack.


In this role, you will be expected to acquire a deep technical understanding of the products; execute a development roadmap; as well as provide mentorship to the engineers on the team. Responsibilities include

  • Work within a team to design, develop and maintain software applications in support of the company's semiconductor capital equipment and their advanced equipment and process control software systems, especially those involving machine learning analysis of data and relating it to wafer results.
  • Lead in the gathering of functional requirements, developing technical specifications and driving architectural & design decisions for the software implementation. Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders throughout the process
  • Provide technical leadership on software development projects, contribute to and promote good software engineering practices, mentoring the global development teams
  • Monitor and plan out core infrastructure enhancements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system problems and customer issues.


Required Qualifications

  • Masters in Computer Science or related field, PhD an advantage
  • 7+ years of hands on programming experience in various object oriented and scripting languages (C, C++, java, python) in a professional software development environment.
  • 3+ years of hands on software architecting/technical leadership role
  • Solid knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, automated testing, and operations
  • Experience in cross platform development for Linux and Windows systems, and distributed computing environments such as Hadoop framework
  • Experience in using open source software and integrating machine learning libraries
  • Excellent problem solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate complex items across all levels of the organisation

  • Experience with modelling software, machine learning, and semiconductor manufacturing software
