Role:

 

  • Reporting to the Senior Manager of Foreign Trade Policy, facilitate trade while ensuring compliance with global Trade regulations. 
     
     
    Responsible for assisting with worldwide oversight of Trade areas:
     
  • Compliance with US and international regulations 
  • Trade controls and export authorizations
  • Global partner screening program
  • Strategic support for global initiatives touching export controls
     
     
     
    Primary Responsibilities:
     
  1. Responsible for daily screening, documentation and proper communication of findings
  2. Responsible for export license determinations, applications, documentation, and communications
  3. Continuous improvement for Lam’s Trade compliance program
  4. Maintain/updateTrade control policies for the company while seeking cross-functional alignment
  5. Support corporate-wide mandate with U.S export and trade sanctions regulations, domestically and globally.
  6. Support for management of Internal Compliance programs (ICP, TCP, etc.)
  7. Advocacy for internal cross-functional Trade compliance assessment programs
  8. Represent Lam with US Government (BIS, Census) as needed
  9. Cross-functional alignment on resource support of projects involving export activities
  10. Promote policy and procedural cross-functional alignment
  11. Support operational alignment with Licensing strategy – US and international export & re-export, and deemed export
  12. Help maintain technology control guidelines
  13. Help maintain AES filing compliance guidelines
  14. Maintain/update screening guidelines
    • OFAC
    • FCPA
    • Sanctioned Parties
       

Experience / Education / Business / Technical Knowledge Required

 

Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant global export compliance experience

 

Education

  • Minimum BA/BS  - Trade related advanced certifications preferred

 

Business / Technical Knowledge

  • US Export Regulations (EAR and ITAR)
  • OFAC Regulation
  • Strong experience with Export Licensing and Party Screening
  • Experience with international Trade regulations in APAC and EU jurisdictions
  • SEMI industry product knowledge
  • Ability to communicate effectively  - written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member and interact / collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Project management, planning and organizational skills
  • Experience delivering training to all levels of the organization preferred (US and international)
  • Experience interacting, verbal and written, with US government agencies and Trade organizations
  • Logistics experience preferred
  • International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) and FCPA regulations experience desired

 

Ability to travel domestically and internationally (5% of time), for trade related matters
