Position Overview

 

Lam Research is looking for an experienced Network Operations Manager to be part of a dynamic team designing, building and supporting enterprise networks.  This position’s primary responsibility is to manage a Global Network Operations team thru collaboration, structure, and processes which will empower the company to scale beyond $10B.   The right candidate will have a proven background in managing global teams, desire to work in a fast-paced environment and strong technical knowledge.  This position will be responsible for working across multiple groups, towers, and geographies to successfully deliver business value.  This individual will require excellent communication skills, determination, and perseverance to be successful.

This position will provide leadership and operational guidance across network processes and technologies while being aligned with upper management to execute corporate strategies and objectives.

 

Requirements

•    Manage the Global Operational Network team, providing day to day operational support. 

•    Drive strategic and operational direction for the Network team and maintain responsibility for ensuring the maintenance, operations, and support of the network infrastructure.  Key technologies will include but not limited to DMVPN, F5, LTM, GTM, WAF, Firewalls, VPN technologies, WAN Optimization, Wireless, Cloud Solutions, MPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, monitoring/alerting solutions. 

•    Manage, coach, develop and lead the outsourcing team responsible for the maintenance, operations, and support.  

•    Manage the relationship of all Lam Network Operation Partners and Vendors to ensure optimal performance of steady state support and track industry best practices and standards.

•    Act as an escalation point for the team on operational issues and help to remove barriers that prevent network projects and efforts from moving forward.

•    Collaborate with other operations teams to ensure successful implementation of network strategies and architectures to enterprise applications and infrastructure.

•    Create, measure, analyze, and present reports to management representing current network operations, and identify where opportunities for improvement exist.

•    Produce regular reports that demonstrate, track, compare, and analyze corporate network solutions and the identification, investigation, and resolution of network events and incidents detected by those systems.

 

Basic Qualifications:

•    10+ years of experience in IT with at least 5 of those years of experience in a Network Operations role.

•    3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, providing direction to a team for managing people, employee career development, team building, and conflict resolution.

•    Experience with ITSM processes

•    Familiar with Matrix reporting structure

•    Experience with managing outsourcing service providers and a global structure.

•    Experience with multiple network platforms and layers, Cisco, F5, SilverPeaks, logging correlation and management, operating systems, protocols, and python scripting

•    Understanding of IT Infrastructure services, including security, Active Directory, identity management, PKI, VPN, RADIUS, SSO, federation services.

•    Experience with design and architecture using modern design patterns in a Cloud environment.

•    Experience with Cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and the security implications and requisite control frameworks.

•    Experience with IoT and mobile device security. Understanding of Mobile Device Management tools.

•    Ability to demonstrate excellent decisive judgment and the potential business impact when the team is researching a security event or incident.

•    BA or BS degree in MIS, Computer Information Systems, CS, or an IT related field.

•    CCDE, CWNA, F5, PMP
