Job Responsibilities

Oversees the planning and controls the flow of materials, products, services and related systems information from point of origin to point of delivery. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, or critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, third-party warehousing and shipping/receiving activities. Develops and implements logistics plans, budgets, and procedures to maximize compliance with customer needs within budget constraints. Provides financial reporting and reconciliation of inventories. Exhibits thorough understanding of international Letters of Credit and other forms of banking documents and international shipments. Interacts with vendors and peers in Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, and Product Development personnel to optimize systems and procedures. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Other Job Responsibilities

  • This position is a senior manager position responsible for the managing of the warehouse and logistics operations in Fremont, Newark and Hayward in order to support the Lam Pilot and Engineering operations.
  • Maintain and support work safety and environmental rules
  • Manage others including daily operations, projects, career development and performance reviews
  • Oversea multiple warehouse and resupply operations across Fremont, Newark and Hayward, CA area.
  • Liaison between the Lam Logistics 3PL and internal customers for process and service level improvements
  • Oversee and monitor operational SLA, KPI, SOX, quality and ISO governance
  • Point of escalation for Bay Area warehousing and resupply operations
  • Support and plan for Logistics business continuity.  Represent Logistics in BCP drills and plan reviews, validate warehouse operational readiness
  • Organize, staff, lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams. Partner with various groups across Lam Research to reduce cost, increase efficiency and improve quality
  • Proactively manage and respond to changes in the manufacturing build plan with required Logistics support
  • Support the implementation of system solutions to the Logistics operation.
  • Report, present and follow-up on warehouse, inventory, in-transit and quality metrics.
  • Determines root cause of quality escapes utilizing structured problem-solving methods
  • Forecast and review Logistics warehousing budget including alignment with 3PL’s, Lam Finance and Logistics executive management
  • Approve and invoice payments for suppliers and create purchase requisitions for vendors
  • SAP knowledge a plus

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-years related experience
  • BA/BS in Production Management, Engineering, Business or related field, MS/MBA preferred
