Program Manager, Marketing


The Customer Support Business Group (CSBG) is one of the fastest growing businesses at Lam, driven by Lam’s strong market share in leading edge tools, and the longevity of its systems in mature fabs. Spares Product Line is a linchpin of CSBG’s revenue, expected to generate more than $1.5B in 2018.

This role will fill a critical need for Marketing Program Management, developing our value-selling capability for the huge portfolio of ~150,000 spare parts. The role is highly cross-functional, focused on interacting with the Product Groups and the field throughout the PDR Process and Product Lifecycle to understand and sell the value of our Spares.


PDR Process Marketing Requirements and CoC Management

  • Be a key and visible representative of CSBG to the PGs, partnering with EPG and DPG in PDR program reviews to ensure that Spares delivers and receives the right information from the PDR
  • As part of Spares Marketing, develop a detailed picture of Spares needs from the PDR process
  • Develop and maintain analysis of CoC from Beta Ship until URR, partnering with PG, Installed Base Operations, and the field as needed to obtain lifetime data

Marketing Collateral

  • Take the lead in developing and maintaining value-selling collateral for high-value and/or high-volume spare parts, both those that come out of the PG’s PDR process and those that are CSBG-developed
  • Maintain Spares roadmap summary collateral for communication with and training of the regional teams

Spares Product Strategy and Pricing

  • Work with the BD team to develop Spares product/pricing strategy by region and by part type
  • Ensure that spare parts are accurately priced for the value delivered to the customer

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM subject and 5+ years Semiconductor Industry experience.
  • High degree of analytical skill; able to work with large datasets, and a high comfort level in Excel
  • Excellent collaborator & communicator, forms cross-functional partnerships to get things done
  • Ability to lay out clear messages and value propositions in clean and concise collateral

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Familiarity with one or more families of semiconductor equipment, in either deposition or etch
  • Experience with a higher-capability data analysis package such as JMP, and/or experience working with/querying databases
  • Product or technical marketing experience is highly desirable
