Job Responsibilities

Delivering hardware training which includes remote, Virtual Reality (VR), or a traditional classroom setting.
Responsible for developing and delivering Hardware training on Lam's Direct Metals Product Line starting during early product development phases.
Conducts technical training courses for customers and/or employees on multiple products.
Works very closely with cross functional teams - Engineering Group Subject Matter Experts, Customer support engineers to determine applicability of course material.
Project manages the course development to ensure timely completion of the courses.
Course delivery will be conducted both synchronously (live, remote via telepresence or MS Teams), create and release web-based courses. 
The target audience is Lam Engineers (both Regional Product Support and Field Service) and customers with varying academic and experience levels.
Train other instructors after product release.

Other Job Responsibilities

Create and deliver engaging training courses (for in-person, remote, or web-based delivery) for new projects.
Attend design reviews to understand the equipment and its complexity to translate into appropriate/different training needs.  
Assist with documentation redlines for accuracy and completeness.
Act as subject matter expert for training development of new products.
Assist with the Regional Product Support Embedded training program requirements.
Develop Beta Certification Programs to be used for Regional Product Support Embedded program and initial release certification program for Field Service Engineers.
Utilize 3-D printer to create hands on lab examples for classes.
Provide innovative capital training solutions for each product release using current Tech Training Install Base coupled with bench type strategy, conversions, etc.
Transition training to High Volume Training Group within the Tech Training department: train the trainer, course development, any equipment start-up needs.
Assist with customer training delivery requests early in the product development cycle.
Act as subject matter expert for any Direct Metals' product specialist training that maybe required to be developed.
Travel up to 5% domestic and international.
Acts as a resource for colleagues.
Works with cross-functional teams to get information and results needed.
Professionally represents the company to the customer. Utilize knowledge of company’s product lines and services to keep existing/ potential customers informed.
Drive improvements of existing courses.
 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Training experience is preferred. 
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.
  • People skills with the ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal and external partners.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with working in the semiconductor Industry with in-depth knowledge of Lam Tools (Direct Metals products is a plus).
  • Experience in developing and conducting training using ADDIE, or similar process, preferred.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Suite, Articulate Storyline, CAD files, Virtual Reality development; 3D printing are all very helpful but not required, we will provide training if needed

 Salary and Benefits

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $109,000.00 -  $239,000.00

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
