Job Responsibilities

Lam is committed to protecting the health and safety of our employees.  Our manufacturing facilities follow strict guidelines including social distancing protocols, temperature scanning, and maintaining safe distancing between workers, and workstation sanitizing between shifts.

 

Lam’s Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for allocating labor hours to meet production and test schedules.  Troubleshoots complicated issues and escalates situations through proper paths; completes employee performance reviews ensuring criteria are met for promotions or disciplinary action; attends meetings and exchanges written correspondence with management, engineers, vendors, customers to meet production goals.

 

  • Assign and adjust labor allocation and activities based on work priority, material availability, ship date, and skill of personnel by reading information provided in pass-downs and emails; monitor flow of production and address troubled systems by delegating personnel to help with troubleshooting
  • Review release schedule, capacity and engineering owned issues by utilizing SAP, receiving management input and visually assessing the floor capacity.
  • Address materials issues by following proper escalation paths; order parts and equipment
  • Compute estimates for labor reduction and continuous improvements by developing and presenting proposals/projects to managers
  • Prioritize shift start activities by reading emails to receive pass-downs; communicate with management; receive and delegate tasks; assess the floor
  • Troubleshoot non-standard processes by adapting to immediate needs
  • Investigate and document accidents, injuries, and illnesses by generating incident reports in EHS site and initiate meetings on corrective action
  • Personnel management including hiring and promoting staff as needed; manage employee timecards; verify employees are current and up to date on required training
  • Demonstrate, promote, and enforce safety at all times

Other Job Responsibilities

  • Attend shortage meetings and provide Drop Dead Dates on material shortage.
  • Provide Weekly Shipment Plan to Machine Prep.
  • Update the PilotMfg_LaborSummay "HC Plan" and "Assignments Tab"
  • Review Technician direct labor hours (DLH) reporting in QB
  • Ensure latest SOEs are provided by the ME at the start of every build.
  • Quality assessments and quality certifications for individual shipments
  • Ensure compliance with 5S reporting requirements
  • Define and execute an RMBWA Schedule-monthly

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree
  • Five+ years’ manufacturing experience
  • Able to work 12 hour shifts in a clean room environment wearing PPE (Cleanroom suit, safety glasses, masks, shields, gloves, safety footwear)
  • Proficiency with use of computer software and database applications
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (read, write, speak)
