Technical Marketing Analyst – Recent Graduate

Background to the Role

This is a key role for a New College Graduate supporting the business forecasting and strategic planning of the Lam Research Customer Support Business Group (CSBG). With annual revenues in excess of $2 Billion the CSBG team is central to defining the experience of our customers worldwide. The successful candidate will help develop business processes and tools to effectively forecast and present served available market (SAM) and impact of technology trends / inflections across a broad spectrum of the semiconductor market space. This will include applications that range from advanced CMOS processing to the fabrication of MEMS, Sensors and advanced power devices that are increasingly important in consumer electronics, the IoT and automotive / autonomous driving applications.


This role will report into the Strategic Marketing and Business Development group within CSBG but the individual will be expected to effectively engage with key stake holders across the whole of the CSBG organization in order to support business and technology planning activities.


This is an exciting opportunity to join a world class business in strategic support role. Skills Required to Fulfil This Role


Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in a scientific, engineering or business management discipline
  • A knowledge in semiconductor process development would be highly beneficial and interest in the semiconductor industry is essential.
  • A genuine interest in advanced technology and an on-going desire to learn


The successful candidate should

  • Be able to understand and apply complex technical concepts.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be capable of working to understand and meet the needs of a group of key stake holders.
  • Have a logical and systematic approach to process definition and documentation.
  • Be self-motivated and able to manage their time effectively.
  • Be focused on delivering to agreed timescales.





Experience Required to be Successful in this Role

  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic to develop modelling tools / databases, analyze data and generate reports.
  • Simplifying data entry in complex Excel worksheets through optimization of worksheet process flows.
  • Detailed understanding of advanced functions with Microsoft Excel
  • A methodical approach to documenting the modelling process flow both within the Excel model and in external user documentation.
  • A knowledge of other business intelligence / visualization software tools (e.g. Klik) and interfacing these to Excel / databases would also be advantageous as would a knowledge of SharePoint.
