Responsible for providing quality repair, preventive maintenance service and complete installation and relocation start-up service of complex electromechanical and electronic systems on Deposition and Clean toolset at customer sites. Performs autonomously when analyzing and solving problems, covers a broad range of Lam products to the component level. May co-ordinate work of assigned engineers and assumes accountability for customer satisfaction with service received.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

 

Technical

  • Troubleshoots and repairs complex electro-mechanical, process, peripheral, and facility related problems on Deposition and Clean toolset.
  • Plans and executes complex upgrades. 
  • Manages escalations.  
  • Recommends procedural changes to customers.
  • May assist Process Engineers with DOE evaluation.

 

Performs application related Project Management, which includes

  • Plans, manages, and executes large projects on extended timelines. 
  • Assigns tasks to lower level employees to ensure project completion on time

 

Leadership function

  • May own customer/site KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Provides technical instruction and leadership on installs, repairs, operations and calibration.
  • Coordination of application of new procedures.

 

Strategic

  • Defines general engineering approaches as well as specific solutions.
  • May execute fundamental engineering design and analysis with supervision. 
  • Coordinates statistical analysis of failure rates and develops CIP (Continuous Improvement Programs)

 

Customer relation

  • Interfaces directly with customer at a management and engineer level. Professionally represents the company to the customer.
  • Drives customer meetings.
  • Measures customer trust and drives improvement programs.

 

Frequent business travel required.

 

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

 

Minimum education         BS/AS degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or related field (4 yr Bachelor degree preferred).

Minimum experience        >5 years of applicable experience as well as significant service experience are required. Previous experience in semiconductor capital equipment required
