The Impact You’ll Make
Manages the staffing/employment function and activities. Ensures that staffing needs are met in accordance with governmental requirements. Develops and implements recruiting plans to staff open requisitions while minimizing cost per hire. Develops and administers talent management efforts and employee referral programs. Manages contractual relationships with placement agencies, contract recruiters; retained and contingent, job boards, job fairs and various internet job search websites for posting requisitions and surfacing candidates. Manages the resume tracking system. Ensures consistent corporate image throughout recruiting campaigns. May serve as or oversee website content expert for Staffing & Recruitment. May maintain manpower planning system and provide guidance to management on employment matters and/or affirmative action plans, as applicable. Submits reports concerning hiring trends, turnover rates, candidate feedback, etc. to Human Resources staff and/or senior management, as appropriate. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an advisor and partner to the Taiwan business leaders; develop and implement long-term hiring strategies and focused on critical leadership talent needs across all Lam Taiwan businesses.
- Analyze internal recruitment data and trends (including talent/diversity gaps) provide insights and drive strategies to meet short term and long-term hiring goals
- Proactively represent Lam as a thought leader both internally and externally. Facilitate and Promote awareness of Lam’s global diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Gather requirements and proactively identify trends that may impact the candidate and hiring manager experience. Deploy tools/surveys that will enhance both candidate and hiring manager experiences.
- Enable data driven decisions by systematically gathering information from a variety of sources, identify implications of data, draw conclusions, generate alternatives and solutions by using quality metrics and data
- Manage and monitor internal applicant tracking system, ensuring that all candidates and applicants are properly tracked and responsible for driving accuracy on the system
What You'll Do
- Build & drive Talent acquisition KPI’s and dashboards
- Participate as a key member of the business leadership team for Taiwan
- Champion Lam Research’s core values as role models of the culture, built on a foundation of honesty and integrity
- Partner with HR operations leader to assimilate, onboard talent to fulfill growing business needs
- Establish effective working relationships with regional COE leaders and teams to ensure successful talent and rewards strategies
Who We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated success partnering with business leaders to deliver results through human resource initiatives
- Design and deploy recruitment talent strategies and processes that support the overall business goals.
- Harbor successful working relationships with the wider HR teams and key business managers / directors, demonstrating a sound understanding of the business requirements
- Experience leading a talent acquisition function, working in a highly complex technology industry; experience in the semiconductor industry experience is preferable
- Excellent customer relationship management and consultation skills, including influencing and collaboration
- Understanding how to balance strategy and business acumen to best invest resources and maximize impac

- Strong detail orientation working hands-on in a complex matrix organization
- At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in human resources
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
