The Impact You’ll Make
The Program Manager role is part of the Lam Research Global Operations Quality group with responsibilities to lead and manage the advancement of safety programs across multiple business units using technical, project management, and influencing skills to achieve results.
This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to take a "hand's on" approach to achieve project results. In this role, you will leverage your negotiation and influencing skills to align stakeholders and resolve conflicts, use your business process acumen to analyze data, evaluate processes, and identify root causes to recommend future improvements. This role requires the ability to effectively navigate ambiguity and make decisions based on available information.
Preference is towards individuals with a strong background in leading teams through problem solving efforts and managing the implementation of continuous improvement projects affecting multiple stakeholders in a heavily matrixed work environment.
Lam Research’s Global Operations (GOps) consists of multiple business units supporting Order Fulfillment, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Logistics teams. This role will work primarily with internal Global Operations stakeholders and may require engagement with external stakeholders such as product engineering, field operations, and Corporate Environmental Health & Safety.
What You’ll Do
- Use data to evaluate program performance, identify program strengths and areas of opportunity
- Lead discussions with executive stakeholders, senior leaders, and subject matter experts, to develop strategies that achieve program objectives
- Create and coordinate the execution of project plans and programs to achieve aligned objectives
- Effectively communicate program status, goals and recommend any necessary adjustments
- Manage the needs of Corporate Environmental Health & Safety, Product Engineering, and Global Operations to drive systemic safety and business process improvements that enable the Global Operations mission to eliminate all injuries and be a good steward of environmental and safety compliance
Who We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
- Fifteen (15) years of experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering, ergonomics, or continuous improvement activities managing projects of various complexities
- Demonstrated ability to project plan and lead global cross functional teams from all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and message complex content in front of peers and executives
- Strategic thinker, proven leader, and ability to positively influence stakeholders and team members without direct line authority
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing, data analytics, root cause analyst tools, and improvement initiatives that are focused on business process reengineering and injury reduction in fast growth companies.
- Experience leading projects with Lean/Six Sigma and problem-solving methodology in a heavily matrixed work environment
- Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or relevant field. MBA or master’s preferred but not required.
- Certified in Lean Six Sigma
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional or
- Human Factors Engineering or
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
