The Impact You’ll Make

Develops, implements, and monitors company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Maintains safety equipment inventory, performs periodic safety inspections, monitors hazardous waste removal vendors, and may assist in consolidating hazardous wastes (chemical, radioactive, and/or medical). Interacting with a variety of departments, conducts training in emergency response and hazardous material handling. Monitors environmental compliance and maintains liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies. Recommends corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist. The work of the EH&S Engineer who is an Industrial Hygienist involves industrial hygiene, life safety, and ergonomic compliance-related activities. Interacts with others in the administration of the worker’s compensation program and the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions. Monitors industrial health compliance.

What You’ll Do

EHS Compliance
-Responsible for EHS performance related to Icheon/Cheongju site.
-Develops legal and other aspects register for Icheon/Cheongju site.

EHS Program Developing and Management
-Oversees the development, planning, and implementation of specific site field environmental, health and safety policies, procedures, business processes and prevention initiatives
-Develops and delivers specific site required EHS Field Training
-Conducts EHS Management System audits and inspections for Icheon/Cheongju site
-Manages Icheon/Cheongju site field Office EHS Program

Internal and external communication
-Use appropriate communications and escalations to inform upper management of all injuries and emergency incidents, including updates until root cause, corrective & preventive actions are identified and implemented.
-Participate in the development of projects and prevention initiatives as well as participate in incident investigations.
-Manages Icheon/Cheongju site EHS performance metrics and uses information to assist in business reporting & decision making.

Acting for nurse R&R within site
-Occupational Health Management

  • Annual occupational health examination arrangement for Icheon/Cheongju site
  • New FSE/FPE/RPS pre-post occupational health examination arrangement
  • Leaving FSE/FPE/RPS engineer after-post occupational health examination arrangement
  • Occupational health examination documents management
  • Health counseling arrangement and delivery
  • Medical assistance to first aid cases

-PPE POC 

  • Point of Contact about PPE selection
  • PPE list update and management

-Respiratory Protection Program

  • Respirator Fit Test machine management
  • Respirator Fit test coordination
  • Respiratory Protection database management

Who We’re Looking For

  • Holds industrial safety engineer certification
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
