Job Responsibilities

 

Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Identifies gaps and provides technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scales new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost effective manner. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

Other Job Responsibilities

  • Technical as well as application knowledge of supply planning systems and their application including experience with developing or troubleshooting workbooks.
  • Knowledge of planning in a make to order environment. This should include demand planning, supply planning and S and OP planning and their interactions with MRP
  • Knowledge of SAP including MM and PP modules.
  • Integration of supply planning systems with ERP (SAP) as well as other external systems. This includes transformation of ERP data, write back to ERP with planning data and transferring data to/from planning system to eternal non SAP systems.
  • Analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated system solutions involving supply planning systems and execution systems (ERP). Partner with business counterparts to collaborate and give guidance on best practices utilizing data from a supply planning tool.
  • Provide expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems requirements and procedures that are cost effective, meet user requirements and consider data quality requirements
  • Assists in all aspects of project management:  Planning (Blueprint and Spec), Designing (Technical Spec), Test Plans (User acceptance testing), Training/Documentation (Roll-out), Cut-over, and Project Closure (Post Mortem)
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to address business or systems issues as required
  • Assist the business unit in troubleshooting and solving Rapid Response system problems including data validation and troubleshooting issues through transformation to the root system
  • Perform testing related to Patches, Upgrades
  • Collaborate on preparation of training material and delivery of User training
  • Provide Business unit systems customer support
  • Experience in Kinaxis and SAP ERP  and the integration of these systems. Experience with IBP a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years overall SAP experience with 3+ years of experience with MM, PP, S4 experience preferable.
  • 5+ years experience supporting supply planning tools. Preferably Kinaxis
  • Lead in at least one end-to-end project in supply planning converting ERP data into a supply planning system and the use of that data in planning. (analysis, design, config/development build, test, deployment including training and data conversion)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of supply planning in a make to order environment.
  • Knowledge of Configurable products
