Job Responsibilities

 

Lam Research is looking for an upwardly mobile, Financial Operations Metrics Analyst, hands-on  to support Global Spares Operations (GSO). 

GSO business levels have doubled in the past 3 years to $2B, and is looking to double again over the next 5 years.  During this time-frame we are looking to hire the organization’s next generation of Leaders and Subject Matter Experts to lead and support 300 globally distributed people.  This GSO HQ function is located in Livermore CA, with its HQ team evenly distributed with Bangalore, India.

GSO is looking for individuals who are not only committed to continuous improvement but looking for positive Disruptors who can help GSO revolutionize our 4 core Operating Principles: (a) commercial capability, (b) quality of services rendered, (c) speed to solutions, and (d) scalability/productivity. 

 

This position will be resonsible to construct, maintain, and sustain various data/information models to support GSO management in the timely planning of financials and resource allocations, along with process performance oversight. Organizational Control Matrix management will be required, which includes many critical key point indicators (KPI's) that enable management and key stakeholders to monitor process performance, and in general enable holistic decision-making. Position will also support any ad-hoc type requests for report construction and delivery, and accurate, timely, and objective analysis as required. Seeks opportunities to build solutions that will improve business processes and support critical business strategies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).

Minimum Qualification
  • Strong, pro-active communication skills (does not believe there is too much communication)
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with executive management
  • Data Literate (the ability to extract and work with data to help formulate and communicate conclusions)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and complex environment (customers solutions are often unique and complex, and the best, most scalable solutions are difficult to attain)
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and convert into actionable plans/requirements
  • Self-motivated and able to take an initiative and run with it with little to no instruction and general instructions on new assignments
  • Empowered to make decisions on functional, process or operational changes
  • Flexibility to change directions and ability to handle multiple responsibilities and tasks
Preferred Qualification

Bachelors Degree in Business/Economics (Master Degree highly desirable)

5+ years experience in an Analytical type position

5+ years of high volume, low dollar transactional business with complex customer solutions

3 - 5  years experience supporting after-market service enviornment (service labor and/or spare parts)

Advanced level in Microsoft Suite of products (emphasis on analytical tools)

Strong Communication skills both verbal and written

Strong team player
