Job Responsibilities

The SAP Logistics Functional Architect will interface heavily with Business Analysts and internal customers in Global Logistics and Spares operations to assist the business leadership teams in implementing strategic improvements to SAP and to properly diagnose and resolve process issues.  The functional architect is expected to provide counsel and leadership in the Logistics and Spares operations area, in an effort to maximize efficiency while protecting the integrity of the overall solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as functional architect in the Logistics area (EWM/WM/LE) by partnering with fellow Functional Architects / Business Analysts to align business processes with solution design by leveraging the capabilities of SAP modules.
  • Responsible for laying out high level design by analyzing complex business problems to be solved with automated system solutions or process re-engineering
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate architecture and integration options and make recommendations.
  • Advise on the management of configuration and testing across various SAP landscapes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to standardize/improve processes that supports the customer-focused approach, but ensures compliance to the business management goals and objectives.
  • Lead proof-of-concept sessions to develop, prototype, test and implement solution improvements to increase stability, usability and functionality to enable business unit roadmap objectives
  • Collaborate with Functional Architects and Business Analysts to ensure end to end process integration and consistency
  • Understand non-SAP business systems and their interaction with SAP. Assist in the management of those systems as part of an overall solution portfolio.
  • Provides functional leadership, including interactions with 3PL Providers, gathering business requirements, documenting functional designs and specifications, and evaluating / directing enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Global Logistics Management team to provide solution architecture input on strategic initiatives.
  • Mentor business and functional team members to increase their competency in SAP.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have 12+ Years of SAP EWM/WM/LE Functional implementation experience with at least 4+ years as a functional/solution architect.
  • At least 2-3 Full life cycle implementations experience of SAP EWM/WM with RF is required
  • Must have design and configuration experience in EWM/WM/LE module: Inbound/outbound process with Warehouse, VAS, Picking, Packing, HUM, Cross-docking, Yard management, Physical Inventory, Shipment and return process.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of discrete/repetitive manufacturing
  • Experience in warehouse layout design, RF infrastructure setup, Barcode Scanners, RF implementation with ITS Mobile & integration with other MII or other third-party solution.
  • Detailed knowledge of systems and business processes within SAP Supply Chain and Logistics Execution modules (EWM/WM/LE) and other SAP cross functional experience in MM, QM, PP&SD.
  • Must have Integration experience SAP with non-SAP external systems (Supplier collaboration, 3PL, etc.) /internal legacy systems.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge and application of testing strategies, methodologies and has been responsible for executing unit, integration and user acceptance testing
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements, processes and designs into well-documented system designs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills including the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
  • A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate clearly, ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Be willing to travel as per the project Demand (30%).
