Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacturing of sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with manufacturing and engineering in coordinating the transition of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for fixturing and process requirements of new product lines. Makes recommendations for outsourcing vs building in house of sub-assemblies. Works with outside suppliers on outsourcing activities. Maintains systems to record and report production and quality data, metrics and information to meet required standard. Works closely with engineering to close issues found during manufacturing of products. Drive projects to improve system level assembly procedures to improve quality and cycle time.


Required skills:

  • Designs and procures manufacturing fixtures.
  • Review Mechanical design and provide technical solution to design engineering
  • Strong system level troubleshooting skills, must be able to follow design documentation to address technical issues on the manufacturing floor.
  • Reviews new designs for manufacturability and makes recommendations to design engineering


Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or 3 years and a Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering
