Job Responsibilities

Lam Research is looking for a Program Manager in our Business Process & System (BP&S) Team within Global Operations to lead transformational programs/projects to support Lam’s strategic objectives. This role will lead and manage programs that involves the design, development, and implementation of global processes and systems.  In this position, you will provide subject matter expertise and program management skills in developing and implementing solutions to support the company’s global flexible manufacturing initiatives. You will have responsibility to lead and contribute to projects that will transform the company’s business processes and enterprise level automation within Global Operations, as the company looks to scale and expand their worldwide manufacturing footprint

  • Provide strong leadership for global and transformational projects. Lead, oversee and direct BP&S projects of varying size from inception to successful completion.
  • Lead and contribute to projects that have significant information systems and business process impact to the company.
  • Influence and align cross-functional teams that include design engineering, planning and order fulfilment, supply chain, logistics, finance and sales operations.
  • Facilitate key deliverables for projects including business requirement documents, functional specifications, development activity and testing cycles.
  • Execute planning and scheduling of project goals, milestones and deliverables.
  • Create strategies for contingency planning and risk mitigation.
  • Drive resource allocation and schedule alignment.
  • Identify & solve project issues effectively and expeditiously.
  • Ability to influence & communicate at every level in the organization from individual contributors up to VP level audience.
  • Provide leadership on functional, integration and user acceptance tests.
  • Diagnose problems, recommend solutions, and determine if program requirements have been met.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership in resolving issues in the areas of process, data or solution in order to deliver the project on time with quality.
  • Ensure effective stakeholder management.

Minimum Qualifications

PM Experience:

  • BS in Engineering, Operations Management, Computer Science, or equivalent; advanced university degree preferred (e.g. MBA, MS); 10+ years professional experience.
  • 5 years of experience in global project management.    
  • Demonstrated skills and best practices of project management.
  • Leading global projects and teams which are transformational in nature within matrix organization.
  • Experience in effectively dealing with management of change.

Process and Systems Knowledge & Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in order fulfilment planning processes & global supply chain planning.
  • 5 years of experience in leading global business process reengineering and solution development/deployment. Experience in BPM methodology is a plus.
  • Contribute with subject matter expertise in the following areas: Material Master, BOMs, Sales Order Structure, Multi-Plant Mfg, Logistics, PLM, Production Planning, and Master Scheduling.
  • Experience with SAP ECC as an advanced business user, business systems analyst, or consultant.
  • Experience with SAP Variant Configuration, Sales Orders, MRP, and Bills of Materials preferred.
  • Lean Sigma certification preferred.

Leadership Experience and Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership in business process improvement.
  • Able to work independently with limited direction in a global matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, including effective presentation skills, required to deal with all level of the organization (IC to VP).
  • Excellent skills in leading and working with people/teams in a collaborative culture.  Positive attitude is a must.
  • Demonstrated skills in effectively building relationships & influencing with stakeholders and business leaders.
