Job Responsibilities

Lam Research is looking for an upwardly mobile, hands-on Senior Program Manager to support Global Spares Operations (GSO). 


GSO business levels have doubled in the past 3 years to $2B, and is looking to double again over the next 5 years.  During this time-frame we are looking to hire the organization’s next generation of Leaders and Subject Matter Experts to lead and support 300 globally distributed people.  This GSO HQ function is located in Livermore CA, with its HQ team evenly distributed with Bangalore, India.

GSO is looking for individuals who are not only committed to continuous improvement but looking for positive Disruptors who can help GSO revolutionize our 4 core Operating Principles: (a) commercial capability, (b) quality of services rendered, (c) speed to solutions, and (d) scalability/productivity. 


This position will be responsible for the interface between the regional Customer Service Representatives (CSR) teams and Spares Operations Headquarters, including all business processes and systems that support Spare parts fulfillment. The interface will be through a multiple-channel communication network, where CSR’s will communicate problems with business processes and/or systems. The candidate will work with various organizations to identify, plan, and implement solutions designed to mitigate known problems and or drive continuous improvement type project to increase resource productivity. Leads or participates in departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a comprehensive solution to a stated business problem or opportunity. Implements small to medium scaled project globally while assuring necessary project buy-in of stakeholders throughout the process to ensure solution effectiveness.

Monitors the program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with stakeholders on solution set.  Organizes and drives interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints.  Drives program adoption post-program/project completion to ensure intended benefits are delivered to the company. 

Other Job Responsibilities

Manage and/or participate on major and minor projects focused on development of business requirements, functional specifications, blueprints, etc. for system integrations or other type of business process solutions. Support management staff with any and all other type of activities and/or duties as defined.

Minimum Qualification

Previous Experience:

  • 7+ years supporting after-market service environment (service labor and/or spare parts)
  • 7+ years of high volume, low dollar transactional business with complex customer solutions
  • 7+ years with large, globally distributed, matrixed organizations
  • 7+ years of hands-on SAP experience

Minimum technical skills required:

  • 7+ years of extensive understanding of large ERP systems, such as SAP
  • CRM For Service experience is high desirable
  • 7+ years experience with MS Office, especially EXCEL and PowerPoint

Professional certification/licenses:

  • Bachelors in Business, Economics, or Engineering; Masters is highly desirable

Project Management Institute certification is highly desired
