Sr. Manager - Program / Projects

 

Manage a team of Program / Project managers & Analysts by providing guidance in the creation of databases and dashboards using all relevant company data and leverage the data into initiatives that will support business outcomes by making informed decisions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruit, train, develop and supervise team members
  • Build, develop and maintain reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions
  • Setting up and testing new database and data handling systems
  • Monitor and analyze information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.)
  • Understanding business needs and perform requirements analysis
  • Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics
  • Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting Monitoring database usage
  • Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications
  • Training colleagues in how to input and extract data
  • Benchmarking & evaluating new industry tools / capabilities

    Interface across all Global Operations departments (e.g. Production, Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Spares) overseeing projects and ensure all members of your team are working on the right thing at the right time. Assist with reports and data extraction, determining the best possible method of reporting.  Assist in the implementation to help non-technical people understand how to use your system and ensure its proper use. This may require the development of reports and training manuals and involve in the direct training, either of your own team or of employees that will use the system. 

    This role requires working independently, as a team leader and member.  Must have significant business knowledge and have expertise within the following areas: Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources, SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries, strong analytical and organizational skills, understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.) An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy, strong leadership skills, experience with database software/web applications and strong communication and collaboration skills in interfacing with Operational partners and the IT community are required

     

Education: Bachelors with 12+ year’s work experience or Masters with 8+ year work experience

 

Experience: 8+ years working in Operations (i.e. Production, Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Spares…) in support of business processes and systems development.  ERP system knowledge, APICS CPIM or CSCP preferred.
