Job Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Director Information Security, the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) Analyst will be responsible for security monitoring, detection, and incident response to protect information, IT, and OT infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide security monitoring and incident response services supporting the mission to protect Lam and its customers’ information
  • Responsible for conducting information security investigations as a result of security incidents identified by the tier 1 security analyst who are monitoring the security consoles from various Cybersecurity Operations Center entry channels (SIEM, Tickets, and Email)
  • Act as a point of escalation for tier 1 CSOC security analysts in support of information security investigations to provide guidance and oversight on incident resolution and containment techniques
  • Actively participate in researching trends and current countermeasures for cybersecurity vulnerabilities, exploits, and other malicious activity
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation for CSOC procedure and processes
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of security monitoring and incident response processes and solutions as required to support Lam’s cybersecurity program
  • SIEM (Security Information Event Management) monitoring and implementing use cases for monitoring
  • Responsible for working in a 24x7 Cyber Security Operation Center environment
Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in an Information Security role
  • 2+ years of Security Operations Centre Experience
  • CISSP, CISA, CISM professional certifications preferred

Knowledge/Skills
  • Understanding of a variety of technical concepts such as: Networking, systems administration, application development, cloud computing and information security best practices
  • Security monitoring experience with one or more SIEM technologies Azure Sentinel or Splunk and intrusion detection and prevention technologies
  • Strong understanding of security incident management, malware management, and vulnerability management processes
  • Intermediate to Proficient in a scripting language such as Kusto Query Language (KQL)
  • Familiar with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Good understanding of Risk management and Risk assessment processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with computer lab environments and operational technology (OT) preferred
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft security technologies is a plus
