Supplier Delivery Manager (SDM)

 

 

Position Summary

 

The SDM is the primary supplier interface with PCBA suppliers contacts for obtaining delivery status, and setting priorities for delivery of boards, shipments, and changes.   Manages the daily delivery activities  as assigned; is responsible for reporting delivery status to internal customers; works closely in coordinating efforts with buyers in the Direct Materials department relative to accurate and timely management of purchase order issuance, scheduling of product deliveries, change orders and status updates. 

 

Works closely with Supplier Business Managers in Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) on business issues relative to inventory, escalations, cut-in of engineering changes.   Works closely with Logistics team in scheduling shipments of parts to and from suppliers.  Monitors schedules, tracks activities, coordinates group discussions between Lam and supplier on delivery status, manages Root Cause and Corrective actions when necessary (internally or at suppliers).    Manages escalations, represents GSCM in daily production meetings, manages Non-Standard Requests (NSR)/ECR changes, coordinates buyer responses to Build Plan assessments, coordinates supplier problem report activities when required, analyzes shortages and manages inventory Lam owned inventories at suppliers. 

 

Position Qualifications

 

Minimum Educational Requirement: 

 

 4 year college degree BA-BS (preferred) or applicable job experience if internal candidate

APICS Certification (preferred)

 

Minimum Experience:

5+ years of experience in a purchasing, operations, or production/planning environment

Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point required)

Proficient at leading Cross-Functional Teams without direct line authority

Works well independently and in small groups

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Solid analytical skills supporting the ability to solve complex problems with multi-dimensional,       conflicting needs

 Effective in tactical execution/management in a dynamic schedule change environment

 Familiar with basis supplier management principles

 SAP or Oracle experience required
