The Impact You’ll Make

  • Responsible for obtaining materials, components, capital equipment and services of a semi-routine nature
  • Provide materials and supplies purchase orders, analyzes quotations, and expedites deliveries and shipments
  • Understand, maintain and report weekly KPI's
  • Maintain files with correspondence and records of current and potential suppliers, materials, prices, delivery dates and inventories
  • Provide timely and cost-effective procurement of production goods according to company guidelines for cost, quality, and delivery
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure meeting delivery dates
  • Manage PO releases daily/weekly to meet demand requirements
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to review open action items, supplier’s performance, forecasting of future demand and future cost reduction
  • Maintain procurement process managing the purchase order based on demand changes with flexibility

What You’ll Do

Position Summary

 

Coordinates purchasing activities with MFG and Spares departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. Acquires and maintains technical understanding of products purchased. Performs material supply planning by demand changes for all commodities. Obtains materials, components, equipment and services. Monitors the std cost, delivery schedule and perfrom risk assessment of supplier's capacity constraint, material readiness to meet MFG requirement. Generate mitigation plan for material supply readiness and initiate the needs of localization or regionalization for supplier diversification and BCP.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

 

This position will include, but is not limited to, roles and responsibilities assisting the following activities;

  • Plans, buys and and delivery of materials required to support repetitive commodity spares needs. 
  • Coworking with stakeholders to pursue linear production by smooth material supply.
  • Change management of NSR, ECR and assess the impact on material supply to minimize the risk of line down.
  • Control the MRP by SAP and communicate with supplier through dashboard.
  • Maintain contracts of indirect services & materials through cooperation with internal stakeholders

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related field
  • More than 3 years of Buyer experience on direct & indirect materials and services
  • Knowledge on Purchasing agreement or contract
  • Familiar with semiconductor or high-technology supply management practices, standards and organization
  • Professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Skills
    • MS Office intermediate
    • ERP familiarity, SAP expertise strongly preferred
    • Good command of English
    • Effective communication skill in inter-departmental and cross cultural environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valued but not required skills and experience
    • Experienced in value engineering and lean manufacturing environment
    • Advanced computer proficiency
