Position Summary

This position is for a Quality Engineer in a quality planning function, responsible for maintaining and improving our quality management system, supporting audits and assessments, and providing prompt and effective solutions to customer quality issues.

Job Responsibilities

This position is for a Quality Engineer in a quality planning function. This role focuses on maintaining and improving our quality management system, supporting audits and assessments, and proactively engaging with customers to resolve and prevent quality issues. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following activities:

  • Maintain and continuously improve the quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits, as well as customer quality assessments, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions for any findings.
  • Manage quality management system documents and records.
  • Set and align company-wide quality objectives, monitor and report KPIs.
  • Investigate and resolve customer quality issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Lead and follow-up on “Problem-solving” using structured methodologies like 8D, A3, and Lean Six Sigma when non-conformances are discovered to reduce risk to customers and prevent recurrence.
  • Engage proactively with the Account Team and customers to monitor and prevent quality issues in advance through escalation meetings and/or outreach trips.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
    (Industrial, Mechanical, Material, Computer Engineering, etc.)
  • Proven experiences as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong Knowledge & Understanding of Quality Management System (e.g., ISO 9001:2015) and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in internal/external audits and customer quality assessments
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for product quality & process improvement with scientific problem-solving methodologies and tools. (8D, 5Why's, fishbone, 7 Quality tools, FMEA, Lean, 6 Sigma, and so on.)
  • Excellent and effective English communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Proficiency in MS office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding and experience in semiconductor equipment
