This position is based in Amsterdam (Hoofddorp).

 

The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.

 

The Impact You’ll Make

You will oversee the EMEA Logistics Operation related to warehouse, transportation, duty and trade compliance cost and activities. Analyzing, controlling and reporting Logistics cost on a monthly base, providing quarterly business operation reports, attending supplier meetings to present cost analysis and trends, and measuring supplier KPI’s vs cost spending are major parts of your role. You will be supporting several stake holders ranging from Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Warehouse operations.

 

What You’ll Do

 

Operational Activities

  • Oversee and run Logistics invoice process including controlling and approving supplier invoices, working closely with suppliers and internal Finance team to secure correct and timely payments
  • Oversee and control Logistics spending, such as warehouse, transportation, duty and compliance cost
  • Monitoring routes daily and making necessary adjustments for overloads and problem shipments
  • Ensures that Control metrics guidelines are followed.
  • Controls Logistics Partners KPI’s performance and reports to Logistics Management.
  • Data Analyzing, reporting and driving of optimal cost effectiveness on Freight & Warehouse and Compliance solution services.
  • Responding fast to internal and external audit questions.
  • Reporting of EMEA Freight & Warehouse Activity (Key Performance Indicators) related to cost spending

 

Continuous improvement activities

  • Participate in identifying opportunities and evaluates existing processes and procedures to increase effectiveness. Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives such as Lean or Six Sigma Diagrams. 
  • Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams. Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities. 
  • Collects data to identify root cause of problems.

 

Other responsibilities

  • Use and leverage SAP (ERP) system insight to pull audit and compliance related document and understand purchase order details. 
  • May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control. Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes. Communicates team progress. Performs cost and benefit analyses.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 5 years’ experience in running a Logistics Operation or logistics related field. 
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications with strong Excel skills required. Focused on accurate reporting.
  • Freight Forwarding & Customs brokerage experience preferred
  • Strong analytic skills with the ability to provide analytics-based results. 
  • Good presentation skills
  • SAP Experience / ERP Systems knowledge and skills a plus
  • Be able to prepare accurate reports and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability and experience to work with global and culturally diverse teams.
  • Proactive with the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications

In this role as Operation Business Analyst, you should have a strong working knowledge of running a Logistics Operation, understand the need of a well-structured organization, able to support Customs and Finance audits with audit related documentation. Being well organized and able to create organization structure is mandatory.
