The Program Manager Global Trade Data is a key player in Lam’s Global Trade Compliance operations. The Program Manager coordinates compliance activities among the various organizations and 3rd party vendor partners that impact global trade. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Global Trade Systems, this role assists in meeting the requirements of corporate worldwide trade compliance policies, regional policies, and supply chain/logistics functions. The Program Manager Global Trade Data will participate in and facilitate key import and export activities to support the day-to-day operations and fulfillment infrastructure within the business streams and strategies for Lam Research. This person will also be a key subject matter expert in the transformation of Lam’s Global Trade processes and automated systems.

 

Position can sit 100% remote in most US locations. 

Other Job Responsibilities

 

  • Supports global trade compliance by managing and maintaining critical global trade data, such as import/export classifications and country-of-origin designations.
  • Creates and maintains records in Global Trade’s databases and systems, including SAP, SAP-GTS, and FTDM.
  • Leads the process that manages changes to tariff classifications.
  • Manages qualification process for Free Trade Agreements (e.g., KORUS), to facilitate cost-savings for Lam.
  • Reviews Bills of Materials and Technology Questionnaires to ensure that technical trade data elements and concerns are properly reflected.
  • Provides both global trade functional expertise and SAP-GTS implementation experience throughout Lam’s Digital Transformation program.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Knowledge of export and import regulations for U.S.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Software design and implementation programs, specifically SAP’s Global Trade Services.
  • Technical knowledge of semiconductor or comparable industries, including familiarity with Bills of Materials

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Excellent working knowledge of SAP (GTS), Power BI, and MS office tools.
  • Familiarity with reading technical specifications, engineering drawings, datasheets.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Trade Compliance Related Certifications a plus (e.g., Licensed Customs Broker, Certified Customs Specialist, Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer).
  • Knowledge and experience with regional import operations.
  • Knowledge and experience with tariff classification.
  • Experience with Other Government Agencies (e.g., FCC, TSCA).

Salary and Benefits

 

Salary Range for this position: $85,000- $192,000. 

 

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside in California and most states.  Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
