Programmer/Analyst 5 will focus on Business Operation from the Data Analytics point of view and must be proficient in:

  • Data analytics and dashboard creation using Qlik and PowerBI (Excel)
  • Report development, data analysis and automated report generation of datasets. (ES, ibase and KM data)
  • Creation of web forms, databases, and summary reports.
  • Manipulation of data from internal LAM and customer databases to identify issues with productivity.
  • Development & continued enhancement Escalation Solver and KM systems.
  • Use of multivariate statistics and statistical plots to generate easy to understand conclusions from complex data sets.
  • Development of web forms and databases to gather and document productivity projects.
  • Working with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Partnering with existing productivity software developers at LAM to understand and provide novel software support for I-base customers.
  • Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities


Working with the I-Base & RPS team the Programmer/Analyst 5 will:

  • Perform pathfinding data analysis work that will create best methods to identify I-base productivity opportunities.
  • Use the pathfinding work, requirements, activities and design to develop sustained productivity reporting capabilities using both internal LAM and external customer data.
  • Monitor performance and quality control plans to create baseline performance metrics and identify organizational improvements.
  • Partner with the AT I-base PM’s to identify possibilities for proliferation of companywide dashboard and data streams for ROW use.
  • Own I-Base performance improvement projects with focus on coordination with RPS, product groups, productivity software solution groups, and original design.



  • Previous working experience performing data or business analysis in the semiconductor industry.
  • Previous experience building data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, JMP etc.)
  • Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages capable of automation of dataset manipulation, including R, Python, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
  • Business acumen to identify and prioritize results based on business improvement needs.


Education - BS in Mathematics or Engineering or Equivalent Semiconductor work experience managing data and analytics
