Senior Tax Analyst

Position Summary
Lam Research Corporation (“Lam”), a Fortune 500 company in the semiconductor industry, has an immediate opening for a Senior Tax Analyst. This position can be 100% remote in most US locations.
This position will assist in the calculations of Lam’s quarterly and year-end provision for income taxes required under ASC 740, the preparation/review of the U.S. federal income tax return, other worldwide tax compliance, and worldwide transfer pricing calculations/documentations. This position will also assist with various business and tax planning initiatives. The position will report to the International Tax Director and work closely with other members of the finance organization and the tax department in the United States.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with quarterly and year-end tax reporting analysis including but not limited to preparing foreign tax provision, preparing international tax calculations (e.g. GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, FTC, APB23), preparing journal entries, communicating with foreign business units as needed, and preparing foreign income tax payable analysis
- Assist with foreign income tax return filings and provision to return true-ups
- Assist with quarterly transfer pricing calculations and annual transfer pricing documentation preparation and review
- Prepare U.S. based international reporting forms including 5471s, 8858s, 8865s, 1118 and other related forms including statements and elections. This would include assisting with annual calculations of E&P and tax pool, analyzing financial statements for completeness, as well as assisting with OneSource Income Tax maintenance as needed
- Assist in the structuring and planning of any international acquisitions/reorganizations as needed
- Assist in analyzing tax impact of various business initiatives and tax legislative changes as needed
- Perform tax research and documentation for worldwide tax positions
- Assist with internal controls documentation and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of corporate tax experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or the equivalent
- MST and/or a CPA preferred
- Knowledge of accounting and tax accounting principles
- Knowledge of tax laws
- Strong organizational and coordination skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Must have intermediate level computer skills or must be able to learn new software quickly (SAP, OneSource Income Tax, OneSource Tax Provision, Alteryx, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word)
- Must have professional interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have the ability to keep up with changes in the field of tax law
Salary and Benefits
Salary Range for this position: Min $55,000 to Max. $122,000.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside in California and most states. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
